The first article
listed 10 tips to help create effective presentations and slideshows. This
article was very helpful, and I know all of these tips will be useful to me
while taking this class. I like that it made sure to include that sometimes
when you try to make your presentations or slideshows more fancy, it can become
too much. Sometimes simplicity is key. Also it reminds us not to put too many
details on the slides that you are discussing. Main thoughts and ideas should
be on the slide, and you should elaborate on them while presenting. The second
article focused more on tips for slide design and helping create effective
presentations. Like the first article, this one was just as helpful. It also
went over things the first one did, like keeping the text limited and making
use of bullet points but not going overboard with it. The more full the slide,
the more bored your audience will get. It also focused on not getting to fancy
with transitions and animations like the first article did. This is a good rule
of thumb for any type of presentations because these things can act as a
distraction from the information actually on the slide. Both of these articles
were very helpful, and I can see myself referencing them for future projects in
this class.
